How can I prepare for the scaffold construction?

This article provides tips for a smooth scaffold construction process such as clearing the work area and being present for access if required through the property.

This article will include information on:

A scaffold construction can be daunting, as there is a lot of work that goes into it. Nevertheless, it usually only takes a single day for the scaffold to be set up, unless there are complications or unforeseen issues. You might be thinking ‘What is the best way I can ensure that the scaffolding team have no surprises or obstacles to getting the scaffold finished off as quickly as possible?’

The best thing you can do to prepare for a scaffold construction visit is to ensure that the area that the team will be working in/travelling through is as clear as possible of obstructions and rubbish. This means that there will be no safety issues caused by tripping over anything and the team won’t have to move anything out of their way to carry out the work.

It is also worth seeing whether or not you can work from home on a particular day of scaffold construction. As long as there is access to all of the working areas where the scaffold is going, you won’t necessarily need to be at home when the scaffolding team gets there. If the scaffold has to go through the property, or the access is through a gate or door which you wish to be kept locked, you will need to be at home when the scaffolders are there to allow them access to where they need to go.
