This article discusses the duration of time scaffolding is generally at the property, their installation and the dismantling process.
This article will include:
- How long before installation scaffolding is erected
- When scaffolding will come down after installation
- How long scaffolding will take to erect
- How to request an earlier dismantle date
We understand that scaffold can be a bit of an inconvenience- whether it be sitting on your own and a neighbour’s property or blocking you from parking your car where you normally would- because of this, we try not to keep scaffolding up for any longer than is necessary.
We normally try and put the scaffold up a few days before the installation date, with the date for this being booked in and relayed to you, ideally, within a few weeks of the installation. This allows us to ensure it is up and ready for your exciting upcoming installation! But also to check it to ensure that it will meet the needs of the installers and provide all of the safety precautions they require. Almost every single scaffold project undertaken will take under a day to complete; most take around 5 hours, some larger ones may take a full day and, in extremely rare circumstances, the scaffold may take two days to complete.
Scaffold will stay up for the duration of the installation and is normally dismantled about a week after the installation has been completed. This is to ensure that, in the event that there are any teething problems with the system, these can be rectified as swiftly and easily as possible. The dismantling is normally much quicker than the initial construction, so it can normally come down in a few hours.
All in all, the scaffold is normally up for a total of two weeks, but if the scaffolding is causing disruption. Please let the team know and under certain circumstances- such as if it is inconveniencing a neighbour or is on a public footway/access area- we can request an earlier dismantle date.
