How the Solis Cloud App Works: An Overview

How does the Solis Cloud App work?

The pages on the app or website show snapshots of readings taken at irregular intervals but usually not more than every five minutes. These readings reflect the flow of power at a certain time but unfortunately are not able to provide fully real-time information.

It’s important to mention that although the data reported to the cloud is not instantaneous, this does not affect the way the inverter operates, managing the power coming from PV, battery and grid and the power being used by the house.

If you see some ‘real-time’ figures that look a bit strange, don’t be alarmed. Due to the delay in reporting the data, it can sometimes be a bit off, so it’s always worth checking the averaged data for the day/week/month.

If all else fails, your smart meter data should always be 100% accurate.

Here is a comprehensive breakdown of the way your Solis Cloud data is presented, along with explanations of how to understand each section.
