We want to help you along the way to going green and do everything we can to ensure all kit is present and correct on the day so that you do not have to wait any longer to start saving money on your energy bills!
We ask that you check your kit to ensure that the incorrect kit is not an issue that will delay your installation on the day. If the installer arrives at your home and your kit is not present and correct, the installation may not be able to go ahead and it will be likely that they will have to return the following week.
When arranging your kit order, our aim is that your kit will only come from one supplier and it will be delivered in one day without issue. There are times when your kit can come from multiple suppliers, depending on what has been ordered. This means logistically, that there could be up to five couriers dealing with your order at one time.
Unfortunately, suppliers and their couriers can let us down from time to time. This is why it is important to check that your kit has arrived in the correct quantities, without damage. When checking, please take note of the number of parcels you have versus what the parcel says in order to confirm that all have arrived- for example, parcel 2 of 4.
Kit lists are supplied when your order is placed. We have been working hard to ensure that our supplier and their courier are doing a great job and have also changed our system with installers so that they now carry spares for some parts however it is still best practice to check your kit and notify the team at kit@makemyhousegreen.com as soon as possible if there are any discrepancies.
The main things to look for are: (The installer will not have any spares of these items)
- The correct number of panels
- Your inverter
- The correct number of batteries, plus mounting brackets
- Aluminium mounting rail
If you have misplaced the email with what is to be expected on delivery day as well as what kit you are expecting, please ask the Install Team and we will provide another copy.
